Where it all begins

Too much televison and pointless surfing. Starting a blog, making some directionless contributions about anything from cheese to transvestites. Not that there were bad (IMHO) - for me they were an interesting exercise in creative writing - but it was just that they weren't going anywhere and petered out in May last year.

In order to encourage people to revisit your blog, you have to be interesting, consistent, write very rude things about your sex life in the hope that they will be discovered and serialised on ITV. It's not that having an audience is the be all and end all for me (liar!) but having any sort of readership would be a plus...

So there I am in the bath, reading this book. It's called Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and I've had it for years, and probably read the preface a dozen times (usually on the loo). I have even gone as far as getting pencils, deawing paper and so on, with every intention of working my way through it, but...

Well you know how it goes.

So I have decided to combine both stalled pursuits. Not the bathing and loo thing - that would be nasty. I mean the blogging and drawing. The idea is that I shall work through the book and publish my progress for all to see. Well, okay - the audience needs working on but first things first. You have to have product before you go into the Dragon's Den.

Now, in order to avoid all copyright imfringements, I shall not detail anything from the book. So I will only be reporting on my creative efforts and my experiences around the process.

Well enough talk. First thing is to get dressed as I am still in my dressing gown. Well, I did say I was in the bath, didn't I?

More anon.
